Thrilled to see the round up of artists showcased at Hollace Cluny now. I popped into the store with my client Monica recently and the two of us were both smitten with so many pieces. Everything on display paired beautifully with the stellar furnishings at Hollace. This watercolour by Julia Balfour is perhaps my favourite. I appreciate the subtlety of colour and the quiet forms that are reminiscent of rock formations — for me that is.

Photographer George Whiteside is a dear friend of mine and I’m a long time fan of his work. I have quite a few of his pieces in my home and at the cottage and they are spectacular. So it was really nice to see him represented! His floral series is very Blosfeld inspired but George puts his own spin on things. I love how soft they feel. This piece would work anywhere really.

I had the pleasure of working with Jacques Pilon a million years ago at House & Home magazine when he was the Art director and I was the senior design editor (this was long before i became the EIC). He is an amazing talent and a wonderfully genuine person. It’s great to see what he’s up to now — such striking, graphic work.
