This was a fun refresh on an already lovely living space that i did for a client in the Roncesvalles area. They asked me to pull the room together, add a fireplace and they needed more storage for kids toys and books. The big move was to frame the new marble-topped fireplace with bookshelves and closed storage. And we updated the couch and area rug. But i think the biggest improvement came from the large green velvet chair in the bay window which fills the space perfectly and offers loads of comfort.

Here’s a look at the new built-in full height bookshelves during the install. Just addressing this one wall gave the space a focal point and a sense of coziness. We included deeper Carrera topped drawers at the bottom of the shelves with light gold sliver pulls and capped the mantle in the same marble for continuity. Simply painting everything white kept the clean aesthetic intact.
